2020 exhibition

 

This was a good experience for me.It was well organised and curated by fellow MfA students and felt like a really positive start to the spring term. As a group we appear to be proactive and keen to to capitalise on all the opportunities that are possible throughout the next two years. All of the fellow exhibitors that I spoke to commented on what a smart move it was at this point. It was an exercise in adapting your work to a given size and criteria. This is quite a common consideration for exhibiting artists in group shows. As emerging artists we are keen to try participation in various arenas or settings and this may prove to be appropriate to our work or not. At the moment I believe that we will only be able to have an opinion on this by experience.I am very glad that we are planning further group shows throughout the next few months and even into 2016. This is an excellent motivator and promotes continuous activity. It is essential that we promote the exhibitions appropriately and make sure they get maximum exposure in the public arena.I am beginning to understand with much more clarity the role of curator.
